We provide support and grants to a number of City based institutions including:

  • Sheriff’s and Recorder’s Fund which was founded in 1808 to support ex-prisoners and their families to help them stop offending and to start a new life.
  • Royal British Legion (City Branch Poppy Appeal).
  • Corporation of Sons of the Clergy which was founded in 1655 in response to the desperate plight of clergy who had suffered under Cromwell. The role of the charity today is to help the clergy of the Anglican Communion and their families in times of financial necessity or distress.
  • Trustees of the United Guilds Service which promotes the advancement of religion as practised and observed by the city churches within the City of London and within the diocese of the City of London.

In 2020/2021, in response to need identified during the covid pandemic we have provided one off grants to support Walworth Community Food Hub and Borough Food Cooperative

Each year, our Honorary Chaplain is asked to nominate an organisation running a community or welfare project within his diocese to receive a grant.
