We provide support and grants to a number of City-based institutions including:
- The Lord Mayor's Appeal
- The Sheriffs' and Recorder’s Fund, which was founded in 1808 to support ex-prisoners and their families to help them start a new life
- The Royal British Legion (City Branch Poppy Appeal)
- The United Guilds Service, the origin of which (in 1943) was part of a "coordinated response to the challenges faced by the City of London following the Blitz of 1940-41"
- The Livery Food Initiative. In addition, in 2020-21 we provided one-off grants to the Borough Food Cooperative and the Walworth Community Food Hub
Each year, the Master nominates one or more specific charities, and our Honorary Chaplain is also asked to nominate an organisation running a community or welfare project within his diocese to receive a grant.
