Our bursaries to the Royal College of Nursing Foundation

Each year we donate £5,000 to the RCN Foundation to provide educational bursaries to nurses and midwives looking to further their careers through learning and development activities. This sum is doubled as the RCN Foundation match funds our donation £ for £!
In 2014 we funded 11 nursing staff to attend courses in acute and emergency patient care, maternity services, pain management, palliative care and public health.
One of those we helped is Julia Cambitzi who participated in the British Pain Society Annual Scientific meeting, learning about a variety of treatments for chronic pelvic pain. Julia was then able to disseminate information to her colleagues and patients and to develop links to support her career and improve care.
