260 Liverymen and their guests attended the highlight of the Company's year and enjoyed a fine meal in the magnificent surroundings of the Egyptian Room. We were entertained throughout by the Militaire Orchestra and treated to a superb performance of the post-horn gallup.
The Master welcomed the Civic Party, Sheriffs Andrew Parmley and Fiona Adler. Sheriffs Andrew and Fiona responded by performing a double-act and had everyone in fits of laughter with their corny and knock-knock jokes!
The Master presented Sheriff Parmley with a cheque as a donation to the Lord Mayor's Appeal and was delighted to receive a Fish Cook Book as a present from the Lord Mayor!
Junior Warden Dame Elizabeth Fradd toasted the guests and principal guest Adrian Waddingham replied with a very amusing speech.
All in all a very special evening!
