Interlivery Petanque Competition 2024

On 2nd August, a team of 3 Needlemakers joined 31 other livery teams and headed to the London Petanque Club in Vauxhall for the now annual interlivery competition. Starting in fine weather, Needlemakers were drawn against Makers of Playing Cards B team in the first round, winning the match. We did not fare quite so well, losing to eventual runners up Framework Knitters. A thunder storm dampened competitors but not the atmosphere and the Needlemaker played a close fought match with Tax Advisors to decide 11th and 12th place. As it was a draw, it was agreed both teams would finish 11 1/2 place.
