Election of Sheriffs and Armed Forces Flag Raising

The annual Election of Sheriffs was held at Guildhall on 24th June. Master Needlemaker took part in the procession of masters from the Crypt at Guildhall and whilst liverymen took their seats in the Great Hall to see Alastair King and Andrew Marsden by elected to office. Afterwards, Needlemakers were privileged to dine at Wax Chandlers Hall. It was a bust day for the Master who then went back to Guildhall Yard for the annual Armed Forces Flag Raising Ceremony. He was pleased to see representatives from our affiliated RAF Cadet unit 27(F) Chingford Air Cadets including the recipient of the newly created Needlemakers Award which was presented for best uniform.
