City and Guilds Prize Giving 2022

On 14th March, Masters, Clerks and other livery company representatives gathered at Mansion House for the annual City and Guilds prize giving. Needlemakers have along history with City and Guilds being one of the founding companies. Currently we offer a prize to a student showing excellence in engineering studies as the original needlemakers were, after all, engineers in what was a dangerous trade. This year, our winner had to cope with a significant part of teaching taking place on line, challenging for all but particularly so in his chosen field of Fabrication and Welding and having successfully completed level 1 studies has moved on to level 2. Master Needlemaker was pleased to stand with the Lord Mayor Alderman Vincent Keavney to present the award.
