Bishop Christopher's Chosen Charity

Each year our Chaplain, Bishop Christopher nominates a charity to receive our help in the form of a donation from our charitable fund. In 2014 he chose the St Francis Church in the Dalgarno Estate in North Kensington.
The estate is in a deprived area and has its fair share of challenges to overcome: recently a terror suspect was arrested from the flats and two of the 7/7 bombers were from the flats opposite the church.
Our donation is helping to give the community opportunities to engage in providing meaningful family building activities and assist families in need in developing strategies to overcome these challenging circumstances.
An example of the help we have given is the sponsorship of the RISE Festival which took place in June 2015. A copy of the newsletter can be downloaded from the link below..
