Annual Treasure Audit 2023

Each year, the Junior Warden takes responsibility for conducting an audit of the company's treasure and descends to the vault with Archivist and Clerk to get out silver ware and other items. Plus the added bonus of a stock take.

This is always an enjoyable occasion as there are a number of items which rarely leave the vault and the Archivist can provide interesting facts about the different pieces. One of the most valuable pieces was donated by a former Clerk!

It is also an opportunity to give everything a good polish and often the Junior Warden will bring their partner to help out however this year, the consort conveniently had a meeting. Fortunately, as we had most items out on display at our January lunch, one of the members had already given everything a good polish and there was little work for the Junior Warden to do!

She was pleased to report that everything was in good order.
