A Celebration of Bridewell Royal Hospital

On 4th May, King Edwards School Witley held an event at the stunning Middle Temple to celebrate the 500th anniversary of Bridewell Palace. We heard from the Head Joanna Wright and Vice President Sir Peter Estlin along with the Head Girl and Head Boy about the history of the school, the current work and personal experiences of pupils. Uniquely, bursaries are awarded on the basis of need. We were also treated to performances of music and dance from current pupils. Needlemakers have had a long association with the school, providing a number of bursaries for music lessons and it was good to know that one recipient was performing in the choir that evening.
